I just...this was a (sweet clean) wham bam thank you ma'am romance. All the necessary plot points were hit but with little to no emotion.I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review. Characters: The three main characters are servant Isabelle, told in her point of view, Lady Theodosia, and Lord Adrian. Isabelle is Lady Theodosia's kind, doting servant. She doesn't seem to mind being a servant and never complains about it, but of course she has fantasies of marrying a lord and becoming rich. For someone of such high class, Lady Theodosia treats her servant as an equal and a friend, taking her to a masquerade
What's better than a wedding at Christmas time?Isabelle is excited for her mistress, Lady Theodosia, and her upcoming marriage. But when Isabelle attends a masquerade ball and dances with a handsome stranger, suddenly Lady Theodosia's marriage plans are on shaky ground.Lord Adrian cannot forget the beauty he danced with at the masked ball, but knows he must, as he has a marriage contract to honor. Just as he thinks he can put the unknown woman behind him, he stumbles into her. Literally.Nicole

This book was captivating from beginning to end from the relationship between Isabelle and Lady Theodosia to the growing love story between Isabells and Lord Adrian Wingrave. I also loved the fact that it was set both at Christmas and in the Regency period. The descriptions of scenes and Characters that Nicole gave not only made me feel like I was part of the story but that I new the places and characters intimately. From the moment that Isabelle met Lord Adrian Wingrave at the Masquerade Ball and
