Ilustration To Books Going Down in Flames (Going Down in Flames #1)

If her love life is going down in flames, she might as well spark a revolution.

Finding out on your sixteenth birthday you’re a shape-shifting dragon is tough to swallow. Being hauled off to an elite boarding school is enough to choke on.

Since Bryn is the only crossbreed at the Institute for Excellence, all eyes are on her, but it’s a particular black dragon, Zavien, who catches her attention.

Zavien is tired of the Council’s rules. Segregated clans, being told who to love, and close-minded leaders make freedom of choice almost impossible. The new girl with the striped hair is a breath of fresh air, and with Bryn’s help, they may be able to change the rules.

At the Institute, old grudges, new crushes, and death threats are all part of a normal day for Bryn. She’ll need to learn to control her dragon powers if she wants to make it through her first year at school. But even focusing on staying alive is difficult when you’re falling for someone you can't have.

Comment On Regarding Books Going Down in Flames (Going Down in Flames #1)
I'm not sure because I have no time to ransack  my shelf but I think this is my first book about dragons. And maybe this is too much Game Of Thrones but every time a Dragon is mentioned, my mind just automatically thinks Khaleesi. Yep, too much GoT. Anyway, Going Down in Flames is a light read. And I'm not complaining. Dragons are there but I found the story more concentrated on their worlds politics and Bryns coping on living with people who doesn't like her that much. And of course, about

Oh my gosh. I'm finished? I'm finished!Since I apparently relish giving extremely precise ratings, I'm giving this an actual rating of 4.75 stars. That's just how I roll.I'm in love. I'm in love. I'm in love with this book. Sorry. Spongebob is like the only way to express these inner emotions :PI started it out thinking this might just be an another slightly amusing, if not corny dragon book. But then, from the very first page, Bryn was established as a no-nonsense kind of girl. Then, it turns

Free today! I have a soft spot for books about dragon shapeshifters

This is how I imagined Zavien at the beginning of the story: With his pale skin and dark hair fixed in three-inch spikes, he looked like a demented manga character. Now I know the three-inch spikes dont apply with Gajeel Redfox from Fairy Tail (amazing manga) but a girl has the right to dream, no?Turns out Zavien is too nice for me to keep representing him as Gajeel. Grrr.Going Down in Flames was a pretty surprising read and I enjoyed it more than I expected. Im usually not that into
