Narrative Conducive To Books Faith Unfeigned
An outstanding collection. This was one of the only series of sermons personally reviewed by Calvin before publication and the collection is on a critical topic which was important not only in Calvin's day but in ours as well: that of the Nicodemites. Many were in a position where they were afraid of offending the Papists and tried to get around that by attending the Mass and venerating images outwardly, justifying it by claiming that their intentions or their hearts were completely different. Calvin very adequately shows that this is a unbiblical position and completely untenable. To the sermons is added several letters, the last of which was excellent and shows just how unbiblical it is to try to remain hidden or justify one's actions as not having the intent, even though the outward show is there. Highly recommended.Mention About Books Faith Unfeigned

This work compilated by Banner of Truth is of several sermons and personal letters penned by John Calvin. The common theme in this book is of the necessity of the Christian to take seriously their faith in Jesus Christ, hence the title "Faith Unfeigned". This work is a necessary read in our day of cheap grace and weak faith. Highly Recommend.

May all ministers of the Gospel strive to be more like Calvin in a clear understanding and explanation of the Scriptures applied with a deep shepherding love.
