Interpretation Concering Books Storm at Keizer Manor
Straight out of high school, Annet moves in with her boyfriend Forrest to escape her mother’s multiple and often volatile relationships. She finds a job at the local museum, the Keizer Manor, where the oils from 19th century master painter Alexander Keizer are exhibited. Rapidly working her way up to administrative assistant to the director for collections and exhibitions, she has an important hand in the organization of the Manor’s two hundred year anniversary.Although the celebration is a great success, it ends in a quarrel between Annet and Forrest. Talking it over, they stroll through the dunes. When dark clouds roll in, the beautiful sunny weather turns into a thunderstorm so violent that they get separated.
The next morning, Forrest finds himself alone. So does Annet.
Regaining consciousness in a monastery, Annet is convinced the nuns are playing a prank on her. It can’t be the 1800’s! She’s a pregnant Twenty-first Century woman and doesn’t belong there. But how will she get back to her own time?

A wonderful, light-hearted romance that literally spans generations. We meet Annet and Forest. A couple on the cusp of sealing their fate with a child; thus beginning their family. Annet works hard at a museum where she curates the artistic works of the late Alex Keizer (he lived in the nineteenth century but we'll get to that in a moment). At a gala for the museum her and Forest, her boyfriend, go for a stroll through the dunes to calm their nerves. While out a bizarre and dangerous stormI wanted to read this book mostly for the time travel portion of it. Im not a huge fan of romance novels, so I was a bit apprehensive about it at first. However, I actually ended up enjoying it very much, even the romance portion of it. The romance wasnt overdone by any means. There were some sexual parts, but the characters were warm, funny and relatable. It was interesting to see how Annet fared in the 1800s, considering her foul mouth and progressive thinking was somewhat shocking to the
I was wonderfully surprised by this book. Ramcy provides a very intelligent and imaginative story line with an ending which I could never have predicted. The characters are written in great detail so you develop a clear picture of them and deep empathy from the beginning. A wonderful mix of romance, time travel and mystery are combined to bring very interesting twists. The main question I developed during this story was how does Annet get back to the 21st Century after being swept back in time
Ill be the first to admit that Im not a huge fan of time travel stories, but I loved Storm at the Keizer Manor. I liked this story because it was so much more than a time travel romance. The majority of the Storm at the Keizer Manor centered on the journey of a young woman who began the novel as difficult to like. Her unexpected circumstances force her to grow and adapt to her new surroundings. By the end the story she blossoms into a remarkable woman who never surrenders her passionate nature.
Well written delightful story. I enjoyed this very much
Even your not a sci fi fan this book could be for you. Its a modern twist on sci fi (in my opinion) were talking time travel and different futures all rolled into one meaty book.Id never heard of Racy Diek before this book and I only dabble in sci fi but I can guarantee Ill have the next book released. Its a novel full of twists and turns and you find yourself guessing and being sure your right but actually you dont mind being wrong- how often does that happen in a novel? A thrilling read that
I felt privileged to be chosen to read this novel before it was published. The story starts out with a serene little screenshot of the main characters' home life. Then it sweeps the characters and the reader up in a whirlwind of excitement, romance, and drama. It's filled with unexpected twists and turns. All the characters felt very real to me, and towards the end I never really knew who I was rooting for. Even the more antagonistic characters were real enough that I couldn't just root against
