Commentary To Books Storm Siren (Storm Siren #1)

“I raise my chin as the buyers stare. Yes. Look. You don’t want me. Because, eventually, accidentally, I will destroy you.”

In a world at war, a slave girl’s lethal curse could become one kingdom’s weapon of salvation. If the curse—and the girl—can be controlled.

As a slave in the war-weary kingdom of Faelen, seventeen-year-old Nym isn’t merely devoid of rights, her Elemental kind are only born male and always killed at birth — meaning, she shouldn’t even exist.

Standing on the auction block beneath smoke-drenched mountains, Nym faces her fifteenth sell. But when her hood is removed and her storm-summoning killing curse revealed, Nym is snatched up by a court advisor and given a choice: be trained as the weapon Faelen needs to win the war, or be killed.

Choosing the former, Nym is unleashed into a world of politics, bizarre parties, and rumors of an evil more sinister than she’s being prepared to fight . . . not to mention the handsome trainer whose dark secrets lie behind a mysterious ability to calm every lightning strike she summons.

But what if she doesn’t want to be the weapon they’ve all been waiting for?

Set in a beautifully eclectic world of suspicion, super abilities, and monsters, Storm Siren is a story of power. And whoever controls that power will win.

Notice Of Books Storm Siren (Storm Siren #1)
SummaryA seventeen-year-old girl stands on an auction block, about to be sold to her fifteenth house. She is an orphan, a slave. But she's also something more. When her long, white hair is revealed to the crowd, so is her true nature as an Elemental, as a girl with powerful storm-summoning abilities. She can control the weather with her emotions, but for her entire life that has meant that her anger has led to danger and destruction. When she cannot leash her tumult on the inside, the outside

Reviewed by: Rabid ReadsFirst of all, when I requested this book, I didn't realize that it was published by Thomas Nelson, which is a Christian imprint of HarperCollins. If I had known, I probably wouldn't have requested the book, b/c I don't like being preached at when I'm reading recreationally, BUT . . . I am happy to report that it wasn't an issue. SO if you thought you might like this book, but held off, b/c, unlike me, you were in the know about Thomas Nelson, worry not.If you have an

*inhales deeply* COOOOOOOOLLLLLIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNMy actual son. My new son. I love him. Love him, love him, LOVE HIM. The MVP. Personality, sweetness, an interesting story, not trying too hard but still trying too hard, precious, pure. I LOVES. *flails softly*The rest of this book? Eh. I'm so tired of physical based romance. It exhausts me to a level that nothing else does. Eogan had no real personality--he was just strong, silent, and HANSUM. V. V. HANSUM. Wut r wurds to describe how hansum. I

I liked the idea but the book wasn't for me. I don't understand how you can have all of these powers but allow yourself be a slave. But that's what turned me off this particular book from the beginning. I just didn't understand Nym. I'm hoping their are plenty of others that love the book though :)

Oh my... oh dear... *gasping for breath* *grasping for reality*... WHEN IS SIREN'S FURY COMING OUT??? :D I hardly know what to think of the whole story yet, but my mind is whirling with the epic-ness of it. Alright. Let's try for some orderly thoughts here... Storm Siren was raw. Gripping. Emotional. Powerful. Nymia is a slave. Fourteen scars encircle her arm, one for each time she was sold. A fifteenth is about to be added, but by who? Because Nym has a secret. Who dares take the white-haired

I had been anxiously looking forward to reading Storm Siren ever since I first set eyes on the cover. Just look at it. Isnt it one of the most gorgeous covers youve ever seen? I suppose Im a bit biased considering my obsession with the color blue. But anyway, the book itself did not disappoint. Mary Weber created a fascinating world that was very different from other fantasy books Ive read (and Ive read quite a few since its my favorite genre). The society almost felt like The Hunger Games with

For those of you who liked my previous 5 star review, I changed it because I read The Crown. I realized how much better that book was than this book. Then I changed this to 4 stars. I still loved this book! I just rated this 5 stars because I had wanted SO BADLY to love it. But, it wasn't to be. only for the reason that I was really confused at times! Other then that, LOVED! The writing gave me chills it was so good.
