Description During Books Bloody Kiss, Vol. 01 (Bloody Kiss #1)

This is the first manga I have ever read! I'd always wanted to try to read manga, but I didn't know where to start. I mean, there's a lot out there. Then I discovered there's an entire genre of manga which is basically geared towards teenage girls. Now that sounded like something I'd be interested in. And I love vampires, so Bloody Kiss seemed intriguing to me.

It's a short read, but a fun one nonetheless. The 192 pages include Bloody Kiss, as well as a short story manga called Angel Lovesong and a small sort of manga autobiography about the author.

But the main story is about a girl named Kiyo Katsuragi, still in high school, who inherits her grandmother's house. When she moves in, she realizes she's not alone. There are two vampires living there as well! Kuroboshi and his servant Alshu are alright with Kiyo living there. But Kuroboshi wants to make Kiyo his bride, meaning that she will be the only human he sucks blood from. Only problem is, Kiyo gets really embarrassed when Kiroboshi sucks her blood.

I really liked this manga. It was fun and easy to read. Kiyo is a smart and independent young woman, very goal-oriented. Kurobishi is sensitive and romantic...even if a little possessive. And Alshu is just hilarious. He makes the funniest, most sarcastic comments. The ending was beautiful. I can't wait for the next volume. And while it was a little confusing to try to read from right to left, I got used to it pretty quickly. This was a fun read!

Discuss About Books Bloody Kiss, Vol. 01 (Bloody Kiss #1)
I really enjoyed the story line of Kiyo inheriting her grandmothers estate and that with it came two vampire lodgers that her Grandmother took care of. I really loved Kuroboshi as a character, hes mysterious but ever so sweet towards Kiyo, and his servant Alshu just cracks me up. Alshu is a real funny character, hes very eccentric! Kiyo works very hard to try and pay her way in life, she wants to be a lawyer so she can help get her father out of whatever trouble it is he seems to have gotten

Review: its all centred around Kiyo, who inherits a house from her grandmother. She goes in and finds Kuroboshi and Alshu, a couple of vampires. Kuroboshi fake attempts to drink her blood, and gets knocked out. He then forces Kiyo to help him clean up, then things happen and she agrees to let them stay. And also Kuroboshi wants to make Kiyo his only blood source, which kind of makes her mad when she learns the term for this is bride. Yeahits just a really short comedy and I cant really go into

Short and sweet. Funny in parts as well.

The problem with expectations, of course, is that they're nobody's issues but yours. I expected something from this series, something slightly darker, deeper, and less naive, but it was essentially just another silly Shoujo. Despite the progress paranormal romance manga could have gone through, they still mostly lurk somewhere in the eighties. /sigh

A cute, light vampire romance manga. The heroine isnt given to swooning and is a workaholic perfectionist who doesnt put up with much brooding from her vampire would-be-lover, which makes for an enjoyable read.

There are moments when I really like this manga, and then others where I'm very uncomfortable reading it.With vampires, human brides, blood sucking, and a determined lead who wants her life, Bloody Kiss is just beautiful enough and interesting enough to make you want more.

Kiyo is a struggling student who strives to become a laywer and clear her father's name. When she inherits a mansion from her late grandmother, Kiyo thinks she's finally hit a streak of good luck. But she soon finds out that the mansion is already inhabited by a couple of vampires, including the handsome Kuroboshi, who seems to have his eyes set on Kiyo for his new vampire bride...Kiyo inherits a mansion from her late grandmother, there she meets two vampires. They both take an interest in
