I literally laughed out loud (and annoyed people near me) while reading this book. It was fun and funny and moved from surface feelings and situations to depth. I liked the characters--they were genuine and enjoyable--and just wish this was a series. This was the perfect book for a summer read. It was entertaining and left me wondering where the characters would go next. The trip to India makes me want to go, but really only if I can have one like hers.
1.5 stars. A freebie on the Kindle, this was a way too long chick lit novel by an Australian author I'd never heard of, but decided to give a try. Tara has both incredibly good or bad luck, depending on the day or year, with men. This is the story of her romance during a trip to India with a local radio personality/journalist as she rebounds from a bad marriage and divorce. Honestly, the story dragged way too long, iy probably could have been a very fun to read book had it been about 200 pages
3.5 starsDid I enjoy this book: I did enjoy this book, especially the last half of it. For me, the first half of The Seven Steps to Closure was okay. I had a hard time connecting with Tara and really feeling for her. She just seemed kind of pathetic rather than sympathetic. However, I LOVED the second half of the book. The trip to India was fantastic. I got caught up in the romance...in the "will they or won't they" aspect. I laughed out loud, especially during the plane scene. In fact, Tara

DNF. A year later she is still crying over some man... nope cannot do it
I'm not much into het. Nine times out of ten I get so bored with the sex scenes, I wind up skipping them. This book, though, didn't give me fits. Quite frankly, it's a keeper. I laughed out loud and thoroughly enjoyed it. (well, you can tell. I don't give many books five stars.)The cast of characters are fantastic, but what I found to be the best thing was the way the women were such staunch friends, there for each other through all manner of difficulties. And their families are pretty awesome
