Interpretation As Books Broken (Assumption #1)
Start the Assumption Series with book 1 – BrokenA girl’s senior year in high school should be a special time. Ayma’s expectations are not very high. She is the daughter of a control-freak mother and a father who has been absent for the past three years. She is ridiculed by the popular kids in school because of her unfortunate name and the way she dresses. Although she’s nearly eighteen, her mother controls every aspect of her life, including what she wears, who her friends are and even what foods she is allowed to eat. The only bright spot in her life is her friend Tabby. Until she meets Colton.
Colton is unexpected. He’s gorgeous, popular – the guy all the girls want and the one all of the other guys want to be like. When he begins to pay attention to Ayma, she doesn’t know what to think. Things like this just don’t happen to girls like her. One obstacle after another is thrown into their path, but they can’t deny what they feel for one another. Their new-found love will be threatened by secrets from their past, challenges in their present and a future they can only dream about. Ayma struggles to find an identity apart from her mother’s controlling nature while Colton faces the results of an arrest that took place the summer before his tenth grade year.
Can they find love and happiness? Or will they be destroyed by events beyond their control?

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.Ayma Kuntz has been cursed with a rather unfortunate name, one that has haunted her through middle and high school years. Her overly controlling mother and absent father certainly don't make her life any easier. Her small group of friends are her only real support system, and what they can do is limited because Ayma doesn't let them see much of what really goes on in her life. The beginning of this novel had a rough start for me.This was a very well written book. The characters were very well written and had depth. I felt I was living their story along with them. The story line was well though out and developed nicely. This book leaves you hanging, wanting to know more of their story. Good thing book two is already out. I look forward to reading more of their story.

FIVE FREAKING ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC STARS *****So where to start... Well you meet the m/c Amya Kuntz... (said Ima Cunt)... Rough! Not only does she have a horrid name for any high schooler but a mom who doesn't seem to know she's a mom. Amya goes through the motions... not fighting back, just living her day to day. Until Colton... who FYI... brings a new meaning to SEXY... Can I have a Colton please???Every turn there is something in the way, someone or something making life difficult... These
Ayma Kuntz, the z is silent, is always being picked on for her name. Then she makes friends with Tabby, Brady and their friends. But she is in the advanced classes and her mother does not allow any distractions. Her father left years before and now is married with baby twins. She never sees her mother, a top in the country lawyer, so she is able to get out some and actually learn to socialize. She meets Colton the first day of their senior year in a Life class. He is coming back from being in
I dont usually read young adult books so I wasnt sure what to expect when I turned the first page of Broken. I was immediately drawn to the characters and wanted to learn more about them. Ayma is a well to do young lady with a horrible mother. Colton is a boy from the wrong side of the tracks, or bridge in this case, that has had a miserable last few years and is trying to get his life back in order. They are paired together in a life studies class in high school and their lives will never be
